Bridgestone to use 18-wheelers in marketing initiative

Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire's fleet of 18-wheel trucks will haul trailers carrying images of Bridgestone and
Firestone brand tires as part of a new marketing initiative unveiled by the tiremaker.

In these "traveling billboards," an image of the Bridgestone brand will appear on one side of the more than 200 trailers,
while the Firestone brand is carried on the other.

"These montages illustrate the diverse vehicles on which one might find a Bridgestone- or Firestone-branded product," says
Mark Emkes, chairman, CEO and president of BFNT, a subsidiary of Nashville-based Bridgestone Americas Holding Inc.
"Whether it's the images that portray our long-standing relationships with well-established American brands - some tied to
our long history in racing - or others that reinforce our legendary past, these collages carry a powerful message:
Bridgestone and Firestone brands are an integral part of American culture."
